What you may do, free of charge

Students and teachers may use everything on econlearn.org that does not sit behind a school license, free of charge, for personal study and classroom instruction. That includes using the interactive graphs, practice questions, walkthroughs, calculators, and study materials in class, on a projector, in homework, and in school computer labs.

Teachers and institutions may embed the interactive graphs in their own course pages, learning management systems, and slides using the embed codes we publish, and may share links to any page. Graph images exported from the site may be used in worksheets, slides, and other instructional materials; each export carries its attribution and we ask that it stay visible.

What requires a license

Classroom features (assignments, the gradebook, scan grading, the teacher dashboard, and LTI grade passback) are licensed to schools. Students never pay, whether or not their school licenses these features.

You may not resell access to EconLearn, republish substantial portions of the site as your own, or offer the platform, its content, or its graded activities as part of a paid product without a written agreement with us.

Accounts and acceptable use

Accounts are optional for most of the site. Where you create one, keep your sign-in to yourself and use the platform honestly: no attempting to break, overload, or probe the service, no scraping at scale, and no uploading content you do not have the right to share. Classroom features may only be used with students consistent with your school's policies and applicable student-privacy law.

Ownership

EconLearn's software, content, graph models, and design are ours. Using the site does not transfer any ownership to you, and nothing here limits rights you hold in work you create with the tools (for example, worksheets you build around exported graphs).

Privacy

Our privacy practices, including what classroom mode stores and how deletion requests work, are described in the privacy policy. For schools, we operate as a school official under the school's direction and will sign your district's student data privacy agreement.

The honest disclaimers

The service is provided as is, without warranties, and we may change or discontinue features. Content is educational material, not professional advice, and while accuracy is checked carefully, no guarantee is made that any page is error-free. Our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for almost everyone is zero.

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and continued use after a change means the current terms apply.
