Discouraged Workers

Discouraged workers are people who have given up looking for work because they believe no jobs are available for them.

Discouraged workers are individuals who want to work but have stopped actively seeking employment due to a lack of job opportunities. They are not counted as part of the labor force or the unemployed because they are not currently looking for work. Discouraged workers can re-enter the labor force if economic conditions improve and job prospects become more favorable.
